With the success of the recently launched Kumite Training Program, KDA has decided to start another competitive training curriculum: the Kata Training Program. Starting this November 15, this special program is to be handled by no other than Sensei David Lay (Philippine Karatedo Federation coach and Chief Instructor of KDA). |

KDA university students shine, bags 18 medals |

Team KDA bagged a total of 18 medals by representing various universities around the National Capital Region (NCR) during the recently held Accel sponsored Inter-University Cup last September 29, 2008 at Sta. Lucia East Grand Mall organized by the Philippine Karatedo Federation (PKF). National team members joined the event as well with the special category of Open Weight Divisions Kumite (sparring) Men/Women National Team as well as Kata (forms) National Team. |

Topics for the essay could range from the writer’s impression of Karate, How karate affected their life, Practical application of Karate in their daily routines, History of Karate, Health benefits, etc.). |
